Guitar Teacher
Lucas Victor is a performing guitarist and composer, presenting in concerts a wide variety of traditional, contemporary and rare compositions from diverse styles and time periods, ranging from the music of the Renaissance to compositions by living and local composers, as well as his own compositions and new works from around the globe.
As a part of his position with Seattle Guitar Orchestra he has performed on two albums with SGO and has performed as a concerto soloist, both on stage and live on Classic King FM, Seattle.
Lucas has been the recipient of several prizes in the Northwest's premier solo guitar competition, the Northwest Guitar Festival, most recently receiving an award in 2022. In 2021 he was honored with first prize in guitar from the Charleston International Baroque Music Competition.
Lucas earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Washington with honors, where he studied under Michael Partington.
Lucas has studied technique and pedagogy with the world's most accomplished guitarists, including David Russell, Xuefei Yang, Jorge Caballero, Ana Vidovic, Illiana Matos, Martha Masters, Eduardo Fernandez, Marc Teicholz, Manuel Barrueco, and many others.
